Capacity Building in Climate Resilience and Environmental Protection of the Portland Bight Protected Area, USD$19,000 (Participation Programme 2020-21)

To increase knowledge and awareness of climate change, build resilience of vulnerable community members through training in environmentally sustainable livelihoods (diversifying income stream) and increase knowledge and awareness of the conservation of natural resources in the Portland Bight Protected Area

Endemic Bird Festival activities at PBDC, Salt River

This bird festival was to showcase the endemic birds of the region. It involved a number of activities including talks about the birds, visiting the Bird Hide and for the primary schoolers drawings and other art and craft  on the topic.

Photography Competition: Capacity building in Climate Change Resilience

With this UNESCO Participation Project C-CAM launched the PBPA high school virtual photography competition with high schools in and around the Portland Bight Protected Area in November 2021. The judging of the photo competition was held 14-25 February for the best visual expression of climate change, its impact and adaptations.
